Roll over protection device for vehicles

Roll-over protection systems of this type typically have an extendable roll-over body that is triggered by sensors in the event of a rollover, over which the motor vehicle can roll. A telescopically extendable roll-over bar also belongs to the state of the art. The invention provides a double-stroke cartridge with a cartridge housing (1) fixed to the vehicle, in which a profile body as a middle part (2) of the roll-over body is held in an extendable manner, as well as with an upper part (3) of the roll-over body, which is held in an extendable manner in the middle part, wherein the triggering of the extension movements is designed such that they occur at least substantially simultaneously. As a result, a short extension time can be achieved with a small installation volume.
