Wannabeher - MUNA

Really feeling this album, and this song is such a fun bop. Mostly whenever I watch a MUNA video I am viscerally reminded how butch4butch I am.

Dance the Pain Away - Haute & Freddy

This song came out a while ago but I finally got the chance to listen to the full album. WOW!!! I feel like 80s nostalgia doesn't always work for me because it gets watered down, but Haute & Freddy embody it so completely and with such joy that it's just incredible. AND the outfits eat.

PERMISSION - Taemin

I was obsessed with the live version of this song (as were many of us), and I have some mixed feelings about the studio version... but it still fucks and I do really enjoy it. I wish there was a little less pitch correction in the vocal mix, and I wish it had retained more of the harder guitar sounds from the live arrangement, but it's still a great listen.

Saki (feat. Aliyah's Interlude) - Le Sserafim

Genuinely baffled why they would choose Boompala as a title track when they had this one in the tank. It's just better in every way. It suffers a bit from Katseye Disease but in a fun way, and I love Aliyah's Interlude on it.

Serve - XLOV

Delicious delicious meal. I didn't like this EP as much as their last one, but Serve, Masterpiece, and Extancy all live right in the diva house genre niche that I love supremely. This choreo absolutely rules, and Hyun in that Joan of Arc outfit moment... well, I shan't say what I'm thinking.

It's Raining - SNUPER

I'm gearing up to do a bit of a Sweetune Retrospective, so I've been combing through their body of work. God, there is truly nothing like this song. It's like, the absolute peak of what K-pop is meant to be (to me) - theatrical, emotional, melodramatic, gorgeous.

Ok that's it for now! I'm going to port over a couple posts from dreamwidth and then will be hopefully back in a week!
