Focus jumping to the start and end of my Apple Mail inbox everytime I do something

It just started happening. I had built up to almost 150 emails in my inbox, and I finally started going through them, keeping some where they were, and deleting or moving the rest into different mailboxes, only every time I did so, right after my command got carried out, focus would jump to the beginning or end of the inbox forcing me to arrow arrow arrow back to where I left off. Does anyone have a guess how I can fix this? Seriously, yesterday it was working just fine. I am using a Mac Studio M1 ultra running the latest version of Sequoia. Hope hope hoping, Thank you! Bruce
