Our take
Camp MondSeeLand was one of those campsites we wished weβd had more time to enjoy.
The facilities were excellent, with modern, spotless shower and toilet blocks, while our pitch was tucked into a sheltered bowl, giving it a peaceful feel despite the unsettled weather.
The campsite is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding lakes and mountains. There are quiet country lanes for cycling, and the campsite provides details of several local walks. I followed one of these to a small hillside chapel. It turned out to be a little more challenging than expected, but the views made it well worth the climb.
The on-site restaurant and small shop make it easy to settle in, whether youβre stopping for a night or planning a longer stay.
Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated and we decided to move on after just one night. Given better weather, this is somewhere we would happily have stayed for several days.
Rating: β 9/10
Excellent facilities, beautiful surroundings and a great base for walking and cycling. Weβd happily return for a longer stay.
Best for
π Walking, cycling and exploring the beautiful Mondsee and Irrsee region.
