There are quiet country lanes for cycling, and the campsite provides details of several local walks. I followed one of these to a small hillside chapel. It turned out to be a little more challenging than expected, but the views made it well worth the climb.\n\nThe on-site restaurant and small shop make it easy to settle in, whether you’re stopping for a night or planning a longer stay.\n\nUnfortunately, the weather deteriorated and we decided to move on after just one night. Given better weather, this is somewhere we would happily have stayed for several days.\n\n* * *\n\n**Rating:** ⭐ 9/10\n\nExcellent facilities, beautiful surroundings and a great base for walking and cycling.
