Locked out of Codex because of an old phone number?

I’m experiencing the same issue.

I can access my ChatGPT Business account normally, but I can’t sign in to Codex CLI because it requires verification of an old phone number that I no longer have access to.

My support case is #10706243.

Several users in this thread have reported the same behavior, including cases where the phone number used for MFA was updated but Codex still requires verification using an older legacy phone number.

This appears to be specific to Codex authentication rather than the account itself.

Could someone from the OpenAI team please review my case in light of these ongoing reports?
