This is a free spreadsheet I created to track the people I’m reaching out to, the status of each conversation, and any follow-up needed. It’s a great resource to use as you’re getting started with outreach. Why use a tracking spreadsheet? Most outreach fails because people send one email and forget about it. A simple tracking spreadsheet fixes that by giving you: Visibility into your pipeline. At a glance, see who you’ve contacted, who’s replied, and who needs a follow-up. A follow-up system. The biggest gains in outreach come from following up. When every conversation has a ‘date last contacted’ field, nothing slips through the cracks. A record of what works. Over time, you’ll see which types of outreach get replies and which don’t — so you can do more of what works. Accountability. When your outreach lives in a spreadsheet instead of your head, it’s easier to commit to sending a consistent number of emails each week. You don’t need a CRM to start. You need a simple system you’ll actually use. This spreadsheet is that system.
