Aprilia's Appeal Against Marco Bezzecchi Penalty Rejected - Czech GP Ban Upheld

Aprilia's appeal against the penalty issued by the FIM Stewards against Marco Bezzecchi, banning him from participating in the remainder of the Czech GP - that is, the warm up on Sunday and the race - has been rejected. The ban stands, and Bezzecchi has been excluded from the rest of the weekend.

Aprilia lodged the appeal with the FIM Appeal Stewards immediately after Bezzecchi was handed the penalty. But after a hearing, in which Aprilia were allowed to present their case, the Appeal Stewards upheld the original ruling by the FIM Stewards, led by Simon Crafar.

The FIM Appeal Stewards also issued a clear motivation for their decision, making a very strong argument in favor of protecting marshals while they are performing their duties, and allowing the race to proceed safely.
