Browser Support • Re: History/Forget About This Site: Intended scope?
Ok thanks, I understand the logic, I think. However, the result remains confusing from my user, non-networking-expert point of view.
If www.palemoon.org and forum.palemoon.org are considered two different websites, why does “Forget About This Site” behave differently depending on which one I start from?
If I use it on forum.palemoon.org, it only removes that. But if I use it on www.palemoon.org, it also removes forum.palemoon.org.
So my confusion is not about the technical difference between the two addresses. It is that the cleanup action does not behave symmetrically. Also, “Forget About This Site” isn't just for cookies, right? I'd expect a full/broader site-cleanup action.
In any case, a minor issue but I had to post about it. And yes, I remember pushing for "Forget about..." NOT to delete passwords but that's quite different.
