Browser Support • Re: History/Forget About This Site: Intended scope?

I'm not really sure how else to explain it, I'm afraid, but I'll try. It's not asymmetrical, but www is treated specially. "palemoon.org" and "www.palemoon.org" are considered the same. If you forget site data from "palemoon.org" it will also remove it from all subdomains. Since www is considered an alias for the root domain palemoon.org, it will treat "forgetting about www" as "forgetting about the entire domain". "forum.palemoon.org" is a regular subdomain. "Forget about this site" would remove data from forum.palemoon.org and all of its subdomains (if they existed; they don't but could).

The only special case is "www" because it is normally understood that the root domain and www are the same thing, which is used as the starting point for this logic.
