Culture, Cuisine, and Connection: Twin Cities Asian Fair Returns to the Hilde on May 30
Fresh off its recognition as one of the largest and most authentic cultural festivals of its kind in the nation, the Twin Cities West Metro Asian Fair is officially returning to Plymouth.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026 , the Hilde Performance Center will transform into a sprawling, dynamic hub of sights, sounds, and flavors. Organized by the Twin Cities Asian Fair 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the highly anticipated single-day event is entering its fourth year of celebrating the vast richness of Minnesota's multicultural landscape.

This year, organizers are scaling up operations to accommodate an expected crowd of over 12,000 attendees. The event will showcase representation from more than 80 local organizations, civic groups, and small businesses, weaving together the heritage of 20-plus distinct Asian cultures —including Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Korean, Hmong, and Thai traditions.
"The Asian Fair is more than just a festival—it's a celebration of belonging," says fair organizer Chen Zhou. "We are proud to create a space where cultures come together, stories are shared, and the community grows stronger each year."

- The Cultural Parade: A massive crowd-pleaser where representatives march through the festival grounds wearing vibrant, intricate traditional clothing representing their respective ancestral heritages.

New For 2026: "AF Music Night"
While previous iterations of the fair wound down as dinner approached, the 2026 festival is keeping the energy high deep into the evening.
From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM , the newly minted AF Music Night will take over the main stage. This extension features an updated lineup of live musicians, contemporary entertainers, and bands. Crucially for late-night diners, many of the festival's most popular food and merchandise vendors will remain open through the end of the concert.

A Green, Community-First Mission
Beyond the entertainment, the fair is continuing its progressive civic initiatives. For the third consecutive year, organizers are executing a low-waste event model aimed at maximum environmental sustainability. Building on last year's milestone—which diverted 60% of all festival trash into organic composting or recycling streams—crews will be stationed at specialized waste-sorting hubs throughout the park.
Additionally, the festival will honor the next generation of community leaders on the main stage through the official Asian Fair Scholarship Program , which funds local high school seniors demonstrating exemplary cross-cultural service and dedication to the West Metro.
Festival-goers are encouraged to pack lawn chairs or blankets to fully enjoy the amphitheater's top-tier acoustics. Free parking will be accessible in the surrounding municipal lots near the Plymouth City Hall and Community Center corridors.
