PLIVE+ Deep Sea Diving: Bouncing Back
In this series, I'll be using PLIVE+, Prospect Live's secret weapon (which all MVP and Hall of Fame subscribers have access to), to uncover the next breakout prospects before anyone else. This week we're focusing on a couple players looking good in their first taste of full-season ball, a bunch of guys coming off disappointing seasons, and even more prospects from what may be a really deep 2025 draft. It's time to move on from struggling prospects that peaked in 2024 and start searching for the next potential big thing. Follow me @high_upside on X, and I'll be back Friday with this week's pitching prospects.

19 yo, Single-A, 1% rostered on Fantrax, PL+ career/year 130/123
The 2025 5th round pick is our fourth-largest PLIVE+ weekly riser. The 19-year-old is running a ridiculous 93.3% overall contact rate over 29 total games this season. He’s had absolutely no problem adjusting to Single-A with ridiculous .323/.488/.516 slash line and 23.8% walk, and 9.5% strikeout rates over his first 9 games.
Edgardo De Leon, 1B/3B, MIA
19 yo, Single-A, 1% rostered on Fantrax, PL+ career/year 128/122 (+29.7 monthly change)
The 19-year-old is our 10th-largest PLIVE+ monthly riser and has slashed .351/.455/.662 over 101 plate appearances this season. He’s up to 6 home runs and 8 stolen bases already, and has maintained solid 16.8% walk and 17.8% strikeout rates. He needs to improve his contact rate, but the raw tools look great for a player his age in full-season ball.

Bouncing Back
This massive section is full of guys that are coming off disappointing seasons due to bad performance or injuries.
Jhonny Severino, 3B, PIT
21 yo, High-A, 2% rostered on Fantrax, PL+ career/year 104/89 (+5.8 monthly change)
Severino may have plus speed and raw power, but has struggled to make consistent contact throughout his career. He’s looked much better over the last month (22 G, 95 PA), limiting the punchouts to an 18.9% rate (9.5% BB) and slashing .271/.337/.624 despite a .262 BABiP. He’s accumulated 7 home runs, 9 doubles, and a couple of steals over that period. He ran a 102.3 mph EV90 (108.8 max) over a full season at Single-A last year.
