PLIVE- Deep Sea Diving: Titan Submersible
In this series, I'll be using PLIVE-, Prospect Live's other secret weapon (which all MVP and Hall of Fame subscribers have access to), to uncover the next breakout prospects before anyone else. This particular article touches on potential SP with interesting traits and characteristics, highlighting breakout FYPD selections, pitchers seeing bumps in strikeout rates this season, some zero percent rostered players, and some Colorado Rockies pitching prospects (sorry). It's time to move on from struggling players that peaked in 2024 and start searching for the next potential big thing. Follow me @high_upside on X, and I'll be back Tuesday with next week's hitting prospects.

Even More 2025 FYPD Standouts
Nate Snead, RHP, LAA
22 yo, High-A; 2% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 84/91 (-6.6 monthly change)
The 105th pick of the 2025 draft hits triple digits with his fastball and throws a nice curve as well. Despite being deployed as a relief pitcher at Tennessee, he’s started all 7 of his games as a professional. The results have been great so far, with a 2.80 ERA (2.46 FIP) and 24.3% K-BB rate over 35.1 innings pitched. He’s been even better since 4/22, holding opponents to a total of 4 runs over 27.2 innings. Snead is one of the biggest risers on our PLIVE- monthly leaderboard, and if he keeps producing at this level, then you'll be reading about him in more mainstream articles.
Another day, another Nate Snead gem.
The @TC_DustDevils righty has allowed one run across three starts in May, with 17 strikeouts and zero walks.

Michael Lombardi, RHP, KC
22 yo, Single-A; 4% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 91/97 (+3.6 monthly change)
Lombardi was the 61st pick of this past draft. Our Jacob Maxwell put a 55 on his fastball and a 60 on the curve this preseason. He’s walked more batters than you want to see over his collegiate and professional career, but he’s piling up strikeouts in Single-A so far in 2026. He’s up to 51 strikeouts in 30.2 innings pitched with a 2.64 ERA and 3.06 FIP.
Barrett Morgan, RHP, BOS

The 6’5 2025 pick throws 4 pitches, highlighted by his curveball, and his fastball gets up to 96 mph, although he still needs a reliable off speed offering. Morgan’s results have been better than his underlying data this season, and he’s currently sitting on a career 2.01 ERA (3.14 FIP) over 22.1 innings.
