PLIVE- Deep Sea Diving: They Can't Keep Getting Away With This

Prospects Live June 5, 2026
Source

In this series, I'll be using PLIVE-, Prospect Live's other secret weapon (which all MVP and Hall of Fame subscribers have access to), to uncover the next breakout prospects before anyone else. This week's article touches on a couple of Dodgers prospects, a couple guys with standout arsenals, a few big monthly risers, some players who are a bit too old for their current level, players who could be at the major league level within a year, and a 19-year-old kid in full season ball. It's time to move on from struggling players that peaked in 2024 and start searching for the next potential big thing. Follow me @high_upside on X, and I'll be back Tuesday with next week's hitting prospects.

The New Evil Empire?

It's getting ridiculous at this point. I can hate and respect them at the same time.

Brooks Auger, RHP, LAD

23 yo, Double-A; 1% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 99/80 (-8.7 monthly change)

Auger is one of the biggest risers on our PLIVE- monthly list. He’s struck out 40.2% of batters while walking only 7.3%. His FIP this season is 1.49. The 6’5 righty was drafted in the 5th round of the 2025 draft out of Mississippi State. He throws five pitches, including a four-seam fastball, cutter, changeup, slider, and curveball. The fastball sits mid-90s and tops out at 97. He was one of the biggest risers on our PLIVE- leaderboard.

Peter Heubeck, RHP, LAD

23 yo, Double-A; 2% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 92/86

Heubeck is sporting insane 47.4% strikeout and 21.9% swinging strike rates this season in a tiny, 6-inning sample size. He has two nasty breaking pitches, and it will be fun to see how highly they rate on stuff models. The 6’3 righty also has two mid-90s fastballs and a developing changeup. The command is spotty, but the stuff is fantastic. They can’t keep getting away with this.

He's Got the Stuff

These prospects either graded highly on stuff+ models or have completely blown away low-minors competion.

Keyner Martinez, RHP, SF

22 yo, Single-A; 4% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 96/95 (-0.8 monthly change)

Martinez has struggled with command this season and has had poor results overall. On Tuesday, he reminded us why many were so high on him in the first place, striking out 9 over 4 scoreless innings. Our Matt Seese gave him a plus fastball (tops at 98 mph), plus slider, and an average, high-80s power changeup. I’ll be curious to see what the slider grades are, as it looks fantastic.
