Live Looks: UCLA, Michigan, Rutgers

Prospects Live May 18, 2026
Source

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have had a couple intriguing home series these past few weeks and I was able to attend a game from both of them. I was at the Michigan vs Rutgers game on Friday, March 27 and the UCLA vs Rutgers game on Sunday, April 12. There were a ton of interesting draft prospects on display during those games and hopefully, this article can help you guys get to know them a little bit better. All of the names mentioned here are 2026 MLB Draft eligible unless otherwise noted.

UCLA

SS Roch Cholowsky (1 for 4, RBI, K, Sac Fly)

A name that needs no introduction is Mr. Cholowsky. He wasn't as hot at the plate as he's been for most of the year, but he still found a way to put all of his tools on display. His first at bat was a check swing strikeout on a borderline call that just didn't go his way. In his second AB, the Rutgers pitcher, Dallin Harrison, just put his pitch in a good spot in on Cholowsky's hands and got him to pop out to the shortstop. In AB number three, he was a little out in front on a slider, grounded it to the left side and reached on an error on the third baseman that would've been a very tough play had he fielded it otherwise. His fourth AB was his only his of the day. It was a low and inside fastball that he kept his hands inside and punched it on the ground between the third baseman and shortstop for a single. In his fifth and final AB of the day, Cholowsky got his best swing off with a screaming line drive to left that went down as a sacrifice fly.
