The Boston College Eagles beat Virginia Tech 8-7 on a day when both teams raised awareness for ALS at the 14th Annual ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park, but the Hokies had the standout performers. Ethan Ball continues to have a standout freshman season with a two-run homer over the bullpens in RF. He’s up to 8 HRs on the season while AVG’ing over .310. Henry Cooke was active on the basepaths with a 3-hit plus walk day, including a triple. The two teams will have their rubber match on Sunday back in Brighton.
