Atlantic Coast

Covered by: Nate Jones

💣💣 Tryston McCladdie, 3B Clemson (Atlantic Coast)

3-for-4, 2 HR, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI

Tryston McCladdie led the charge for the Tigers evening the series with UMiami going to the rubber match on Saturday, breaking a 4-4 tie with a 387ft, 101mph 2-run jack to LCF, and breaking the tie once again with an oppo taco in the 7th, giving Clemson the lead that they would hold the rest of the game.

Alex Sosa, C Miami (FL) (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, 2 2B, R, RBI, BB, K

Jarren Advincula, 2B Georgia Tech (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, HR, R, 2 RBI, BB

Jarren Advincula provided the bulk of the offense for the Yellow Jackets against Ryan Marohn and the Wolfpack, jumping on a 1-0 inside fastball in the first inning, pushing across the eventual winning run with a 2-run shot to RCF in a 3-1 victory for Georgia Tech. The Cal transfer continues to rake out of the 3-hole for the Yellow Jackets, slashing an impressive .398/.479/.563 with 5HR and 29RBIs on the year, while sporting a 1.3 BB/K ratio.

‼️ Tate McKee, RHP Georgia Tech (Atlantic Coast)

7.1 IP, 4 H, ER, 4 BB, 3 K

McKee bounced back from his lackluster performance last Friday at Pitt, tossing a career high 7.1 innings of 1 run ball, while allowing only 4 hits and 4 walks, collecting 3 Ks in the process.

‼️ Ryan Marohn, LHP North Carolina State (Atlantic Coast)

6.1 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 8 K, 2 HRA

Marohn followed up his W at Florida State last Friday by posting a quality start on the road against the #3 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, tossing 6.1IP allowing 4H, 3ER, 3BB and collecting 8Ks, settling in nicely following the 2 early HRs allowed, surrendering just 2BBs and 1H while fanning 6 in the final 4.1IP.

‼️ Aidan Weaver, RHP Duke (Atlantic Coast)

5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 11 K

Although he took the loss against Mendes and the Seminoles, Weaver was a force to be reckoned with for most of his start, fanning hitters with ease with his electrifying fastball sitting 94-96 and running up to 98, backed up with a high 80s bullet slider and a high 70s/low 80s changeup that plays like a 12-6 CB, working his way out of multiple jams with masterful sequencing enroute to 11Ks in 5.2IP.

‼️ Wes Mendes, LHP Florida State (Atlantic Coast)

6.2 IP, 4 H, BB, 12 K

Wes Mendes dazzled again today, boosting his draft stock by winning the pitching duel against Sr RHP Aidan Weaver, allowing just 4H and 1BB through 6.2 scoreless innings due in part to his 60 grade changeup, improving to an ACC leading 1.33 ERA. If he can continue his stellar performance through ACC play and into the postseason, Mendes could hear his name called before the second round of the MLB Draft.

Bayram Hot, 3B Louisville (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, 2B, R, SB

‼️ Wyatt Danilowicz, LHP Louisville (Atlantic Coast)

7.0 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 7 K

Wyatt Danilowicz posted 7 scoreless frames for a second start in a row, first on the road against North Carolina, and today at home vs Pitt, allowing just 2 hits and surrendering 4 walks while racking up 7Ks, blanking a surging Pitt offense that was averaging over 9 runs a game in ACC play coming into today.

Caden Dulin, SS Pittsburgh (Atlantic Coast)

3-for-5, 2B, R

Hideki Prather, C Cal (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-4, HR, 2 R, RBI, K

Hideki Prather continues to set the table for Cal, leading the game off with a solo shot enroute to a 4 R first for the Golden Bears, collecting 3 barrels on the night before the game was suspended in the 7th due to rain.

Joe Tiroly, 2B Virginia (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, 2B, R, 2 RBI, K

‼️ A.J. Colarusso, LHP Boston College (Atlantic Coast)

6.0 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 K

AJ Colarusso put up his best performance of the season for the Golden Eagles, tossing his third straight outing of 6IP, this time picking up a win against #9 Virginia, allowing 4 H, 1 R (unearned), and 3 BB's while K'ing 6 in his longest outing of the season with 113 pitches, lowering his ERA on the year to 3.37.

Kyle Wolff, DH Boston College (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, HR, R, 2 RBI

Kyle Wolff provided a surge of offense for Boston College, blasting a 103mph HR out to left to give the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead and get Wolff his first homer of the year. Coming into today, Wolff was batting just .125 on the season, could this be the monkey off the back moment that revives his bat?

💣💣 Teddy Tokheim, LF Stanford (Atlantic Coast)

3-for-4, 2 HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, 2 BB

Stanford saw almost all of their run support come from their superpowered 1-2 punch at the top of their order, with Teddy Tokheim going 3-4 with 2 HR and 2BB while collecting 5 RBIs, and Rintaro Sasaki going 3-5 with a HR, 2B, BB and collecting 2 more RBIs, both sluggers reaching 8 homers on the year in the win against VT. As a true freshman, Tokheim has been otherwordly, posting a slash line of .424/.519/.909 with 8 homers and 22 RBIs thus far on the season, making a strong push for ACC ROTY.

Rintaro Sasaki, 1B Stanford (Atlantic Coast)

3-for-5, HR, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB, K

Pete Daniel, SS Virginia Tech (Atlantic Coast)

4-for-5, 2B, R, 2 RBI

Big 12

Covered by: Drew Wheeler

💣💣 🍔🍟 Landon Hairston, LF Arizona State (Big 12)

3-for-4, 2 HR, 2 R, 8 RBI, 2 BB, SB

One of a long, long line (great-grandfather, grandfather, great uncle, father, and uncle) of emergent, top-tier baseball players, Landon Hairston has established himself as belonging in a very talented family. The Sun Devils’ offensive leader was on fire on Friday, burning West Virginia with a Double Dong Day, a full rack of ribs (that’s 8 RBI), two walks, and a stolen base. Hairston leapt out in the bottom first, knocking a towering 411-foot homer to tie the game at one-all. In the bottom fourth inning, Hairston got under another ball and launched it 403 feet to clear the juiced bags, knocking his program-record-tying fourth grand slam in a season with his fourth of the campaign. Hairston further added a fifth-inning walk, bringing a run around with the bases loaded on four straight out of the zone; in the next inning, Hairston singled to right center field, capping off another six-pitch AB and driving two runs around in another bases-loaded opportunity. In an effort to flash every single tool known to man, Hairston also went full Superman, diving into a full extension in the fourth inning to rob Brodie Kresser of what would have certainly been a double and likely, two runs to the board. There are incredibly few (as in five or less) players ahead of Hairston in the NCAA pecking order for the 2027 MLB Draft, and the mega-talented outfielder is one of the game’s most exciting players on a game-for-game basis.

💣💣 Nu'u Contrades, 2B Arizona State (Big 12)

2-for-5, 2 HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, K

Contrades also excelled for the Sun Devils on Sunday, extending yet another streak of insanity performances for ASU offensively into the weekend series against West Virginia with a Double Dong Day of his own. The recently healthy infielder’s day kicked poff with a 440-foot solo shot homer to deep left field, leaping at the second pitch of an at-bat to tie the game at 2-2 for ASU. In the very next frame, Contrades went the opposite direction to deep right field, pushing another solo shot 371 feet for his eighth homer of the campaign and lifting the score to 8-3. Contrades has been another of my favorite players to follow through the Big XII and will absolutely look to continue building draft interest for the summer and rectify his non-selection from 2025.

‼️ Nathan Taylor, RHP Cincinnati (Big 12)

7.0 IP, 6 H, 3 BB, 9 K

Weekend anchor Nathan Taylor (not to be confused with weekend anchor Norm Macdonald) led the Bearcats on his usual stomping grounds on Friday night, hurling seven shutout innings while stacking nine strikeouts. Taylor has been a quiet, effective starter who has struggled to draw the praise his performance has deserved, but a string of strong starts earns mention on today’s Daily Sheet. Taylor’s arsenal, extension, and delivery are all fairly standard, but he is a “sum of his parts” sort of pitcher who takes the mound once per week and delivers for his team; I feel like a major league team will come calling in the later rounds this summer.

Gavin Kelly, 2B West Virginia (Big 12)

2-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K

Sean Smith, DH West Virginia (Big 12)

3-for-4, RBI, K

The game did not end up going how the Mountaineers hoped, and yet, two of their own excelled, nonetheless. Second baseman Gavin Kelly got the game going in the top first, doubling to left field on the sixth pitch of an at-bat to plate Matt Ineich and put West Virginia up 1-0. In the top second, DH Sean Smith rounded off a stellar nine-pitch at-bat by singling through the first-second gap to drive Brock Wills around and up the score to 2-1 WVU. In the top of the sixth inning, Kelly doubled to left field, driving in Armani Guzman from second base; unfortunately, the game was too far gone for the Mountaineers at this point and the run only narrowed the gap to 10-4.

🍔🍟 Cole Cramer, 1B TCU (Big 12)

3-for-5, HR, 5 R, 2 RBI, SB

Sawyer Strosnider, RF TCU (Big 12)

3-for-5, HR, 3 R, 5 RBI

Chase Brunson, CF TCU (Big 12)

2-for-3, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 BB

Noah Franco, DH TCU (Big 12)

2-for-4, HR, R, 2 RBI, BB

Across four home runs, the Horned Frogs’ offense combined for 1,656 feet (or 31.36% of a mile) strictly in big fly distance. In the first inning, Sawyer Strosnider kicked off the scoring by singling through the left side of the infield with a bunt, driving Colton Griffin around the bags. In the third inning, Strosnider singled up the middle on the sixth pitch of an at-bat, scoring Cole Cramer. Centerfielder Chase Brunson obliterated a two-run homer 456 feet, plating himself and Strosnider on the second pitch of the at-bat. Designated hitter Noah Franco clocked another homer in the same frame, his a solo shot which flew 425 feet to deep center to lift the score to 7-0 TCU. The third inning kept rolling along when Brunson singled to left, bringing an 0-2 at-bat back to full count and plating Cramer. In the fifth inning, Strosnider homered 364 feet to deep right, knocking a three-run shot for his tenth of the season; Cramer homered 411 feet to left center on the seventh pitch of his AB, plating another two runs and helping to lift TCU’s lead further to 18-6.

💣💣 Tyce Armstrong, 1B Baylor (Big 12)

3-for-4, 2 HR, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI, K

Carrying over from a tremendous midweek period, Bears’ first baseman Tyce Armstrong had another excellent game on Friday night, leading Baylor to a 6-2 victory over Houston with a double-dong day. In the bottom fourth frame, Armstrong knocked a two-run shot 397 feet to deep right field to score himself and Brady Janusek to put the Bears up 2-0. Later, in the seventh inning, Armstrong went yard again, clocking a solo shot 438 feet on the fifth pitch of his at-bat to put Baylor up 6-1. Armstrong also came away with a double during the stat-stuffing contest.

Kollin Ritchie, CF Oklahoma State (Big 12)

3-for-3, HR, 3 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB

Welcome back to the Sheet, Kollin Ritchie! The big-time draft prospect centerfielder for Oklahoma State first scored on a wild pitch in the top fourth; Ritchie and Campbell Smithwick advanced bases and his run tied the game at 2-2. In the top eighth inning, Ritchie clocked a two-run homer to left field to plate himself and Garrett Shull, this shot lifted the Cowboys to 11-3. Ritchie’s perfect three-for-three day with a pair of walks only add to his allure for this summer’s draft; he’s streaky and comes with some approach issues, but Ritchie has a ton of talent.

💣💣 Bear Madiliak, C Kansas State (Big 12)

3-for-4, 2 HR, 2B, 3 R, 4 RBI

Kansas State catcher Bear Madiliak posted another multi-homer contest on Friday, filling his sheet with a Double Dong and a bonus double. Madiliak kicked off his scoring flurry with a solo shot in the top third frame, knocking the second pitch of an at-bat 419 feet to left. In the next inning, Madiliak knocked another homer 404 feet to left center; the second big fly of the catcher’s day came on the sixth pitch of the at-bat and was a bop of the three-run variety to score himself, Cadyn Karl, and AJ Evasco. The Wildcats have ridden several hot hands through the 2026 campaign, but Madiliak’s strong spring has been one of their most explosive.

Andrew Williamson, RF Central Florida (Big 12)

2-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB

💣💣 John Smith III, LF Central Florida (Big 12)

2-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB

Well, well, well, the Golden Knights roared to an 11-6 victory over Arizona on Friday evening and their corner outfielders combined for three home runs. The bottom third was busy for the pair; Andrew Williamson got the outfield hit party started with a double to left center field, knocking the second pitch of an at-bat to plate a run. Later in the inning, John Smith III homered to left field on the first pitch of his AB, plating himself and Williamson. In the bottom seventh inning, Williamson knocked a solo shot to left center field; in the bottom eighth, Smith knocked a three-run shot to left field, plating himself, Williamson, and Jordan Lodise. UCF has several capable batters, but none of them have been quite as impressive as the combination of Williamson and Smith in 2026.

Big Ten

Covered by: Quinn Martin

‼️ Noah Kenney, RHP Washington (Big Ten)

7 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 9 K

The juco transfer does it again! Since his previous daily sheet appearance, it's been a run of uneven starts, with plenty of walks and runs allowed. Though last night he flushed it all and got back to what we know he can do. His slider worked well and used his fluid delivery to keep hitters guessing. I can't emphasize enough how much Washington needs starts and pitching performances like this. They've been towards the bottom of the Big 10 but there are signs of improvement with daily sheet regular Jackson Hotchkiss and Kenney.

Will Sanford, RHP Oregon (Big Ten)

5 IP, 2 H, 5 BB, 4 K

Sanford has been a revelation for the Ducks and their pitching staff. He didn't allow a run and was a worthy dueling partner against our consensus SP1 in Jackson Flora. He did however battle some command issues which has really been his only negative through his 7 starts. His ERA is sub-2, he's struck out 48 in 36 innings, but has a walk rate of 13%. To put a positive spin on it, it's down significantly from his freshman year, so we should expect it continues to go down in his junior season. Though at this moment, it's a major red flag in what can only be be described as a dominant sophomore year for the Oregon right-hander.

Rylen Stockton, C Maryland (Big Ten)

2-for-3, HR, 3 R, RBI, 2 BB, K

The UNC Asheville transfer has picked up right where he left off after his freshman season. His OPS is up near 1.000 while playing a solid battery-mate behind the dish. In their near comeback effort, Stockton caught a fastball over the heart of the plate and drove it out the other way. He's been a big piece for the Terps and will need to continue to produce at this level if they have any chance in the Big 10. They've played a lot of close games but haven't been able to pull away. I wouldn't put it on the offense but if the pitching isn't going to take a step in the right direction, the offense will need to swing it more than ever.

Mason Edwards, LHP USC (Big Ten)

4.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 10 K

The first rocky outing of the year for Edwards came on a nasty Friday in Maryland. The weather conditions were certainly not ideal and makes me further question this new Big 10 and why USC is playing at Maryland at all. He grinded through 4.1 innings, walking 6, and still striking out 10. It was really the first sign of weakness for Edwards and may make teams consider his overall feel for control/command. The walks have been a "yellow" flag, just something to keep an eye on and perhaps scouts and decision-makers should consider it further. That said, he still only allowed 2 earned runs, managing tough situations, and battling through a start rather than conceding.

🍔🍟 👟 Collin Jennings, CF Illinois (Big Ten)

3-for-4, HR, R, 4 RBI, K, 2 SB

It's been a very up and down season for Illinois, they have games where they win by run rule and score 15, others where they score 0, and others where they lose by 1. I'm not sure they've found their identity yet but Collin Jennings was a big bright spot in their 9-8 loss yesterday. He caught a fastball in the honey-hole and did what he was supposed to do. He was a real power threat last season and is finding his power stroke again in 2026. It's a real power/speed combo and I'd love to see him thrive through the rest of conference play and find his draft stock soaring.

‼️ Logan Reddemann, RHP UCLA (Big Ten)

6.1 IP, 5 H, BB, 9 K

I'm going to hopefully be the first to this and dub the nickname "Steady Redde" to Logan Reddemann and his incredibly low-pulse, consistent yet dominant season. His combination of command/control and putaway stuff is outlier-ish and should be celebrated as such. Reddemann hasn't gotten the love I feel he deserves but to point out some numbers, in just under 40 innings he has only walked 6 batters while striking out 56. To do the math for you, that is a K-BB% of just about 31%. For comparison, the consensus SP1 in this year's draft, Jackson Flora, has a 25.6 K-BB% rate. This isn't to say Reddemann is better than Flora but it proves that Reddemann deserves more draft hype. He continues to impress me and hopefully this rant and new nickname can propel him upwards.

Mason Eckelman, C Ohio State (Big Ten)

2-for-4, HR, 3B, R, 2 RBI, K

‼️ Gavin Kuzniewski, RHP Ohio State (Big Ten)

5 IP, H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 10 K

Big win for the Buckeyes Friday night, taking the first vs Minnesota. Their ace, Kuzniewski put the team on his back and got his run support from the catcher, Eckelman. Kuzniewski was really good, he used his CH to both sides and to righties especially, making them look silly. He paired it nicely with a mid 80s cutter that looked great out of that same tunnel. Some starts have been better than others for the sophomore, though hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Eckelman has been a steady run producer for the Buckeyes, already up near his career high in RBIs wih 25. He kept the momentum going yesterday with 2 XBH and his HR being one of his more impressive swings on the year, taking an up an in, cutting fastball with riding life and pulling his hands it to punch it over the RF wall. It was a really impressive piece of hitting and shows the obvious raw power Eckelman has yet to fully tap into.

Mid Majors

Covered by: Joshua Salguero

Nate Conner, RF East Tennessee State (Mid Majors)

2-for-4, HR, 2B, R, 4 RBI

Conner seems to be a favorite on the sheet. He did a fantastic job bringing ETSU back in the game and completing the comeback over a blazing hot VMI. In the 6th, Conner hit a solo shot to bring his team within two runs. After a double brought home another runner in the next inning, Conner placed one into the left center field gap to bring home two and claim the lead late in the game. His bullpen would hold onto the lead and hand VMI just their 5th loss of the season. Conner has been a great power bat, hitting nine home runs on the season and totaling 19 extra base hits in 24 games played.

‼️ Ben Blair, RHP Liberty (Mid Majors)

7.0 IP, 4 H, ER, 9 K, HRA

Ben Blair continues to do Ben Blair things, what else is new. He turned in another one run game, allowing just the one in seven innings of work with nine Ks. He’s been one of the best arms in the NCAA and is making a legit run at the National Pitcher of the Year title. His home run allowed Friday was just the second he’s allowed all season and he’s been sensational with his command, Friday being his fourth game with no walks allowed. For the year, he has a 1.49 ERA with an insane 4 walks allowed in 42.1 innings of work and 59 strikeouts as the cherry on top.

Cole Hansen, C Cal Baptist (Mid Majors)

5-for-6, 2B, 3 R, 3 RBI, K

In a hidden value catcher’s duel, Cole Hansen and his Cal Baptist squad came out on top over St. John’s. Hansen went ballistic, piecing together five hits and driving in three of his team’s twelve runs for the day. Hansen has gone crazy this year, slashing .432/.469/.693 and contributing to the three-headed monster that is him, Chris Ramirez, and Bryce McFeely. Hansen will be the rare draft-eligible freshman, turning 21 in June as a redshirt freshman. The lack of experience and plate discipline may harm his stock a bit but it’ll be interesting to see how teams approach his situation.

‼️ Brendan Garza, RHP Ball State (Mid Majors)

7.0 IP, 2 BB, 7 K

Garza has had a very interesting year. He’s had three starts allowing at least four runs including a stinker of a start two weeks ago. He’s also had three outings allowing one run or less, including the seven inning no hitter he just tossed against Ohio. This no hitter gave him his second CGSO of the season, placing him as the lone guy to do so this year. Curious to see which type of Garza we will see in his next start.

Alejandro Garza, 2B Cal Poly (Mid Majors)

4-for-7, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI

That’s now three appearances in the last four sheets for Garza. Garza had four hits in the thrashing of UC Riverside and hit yet another home run. He’s really running into some power with his second home run in four games, making up 25% of his career total. The batting average continues to progress to the mean, rising back up to his career number of .343 for the year. Garza stays a sneaky pick with elite contact skills as July approaches.

Walker Mitchell, 3B Coastal Carolina (Mid Majors)

3-for-3, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, SB

Domenico Tozzi, C Coastal Carolina (Mid Majors)

3-for-5, HR, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI

They continue to do it. As a whole, Coastal’s offense has not been the best yet every game, there seems to be one or two players having a day that carry the offense. The lineup is full of streakiness and today, it was Mitchell and Tozzi’s turn. Mitchell has been a solid bat and while the power is not existent, he does a fine job of getting on base and applying pressure. While a reliable backstop, Tozzi’s bat has been close to nonexistent this year but broke out today in the close win over Marshall.

Cody Gunderson, 1B North Carolina Charlotte (Mid Majors)

2-for-5, HR, 2B, 2 R, 4 RBI

Charlotte’s offense was firing on all cylinders against South Florida and it was Gunderson that did the most damage. Gunderson smashed a two run home run to give Charlotte the lead early on and supplied a two run double as insurance later in the game. Gunderson was an excellent addition last season and he continues to be a force in the middle of the lineup. He’s now slashing .356/.439/.596 for the year while providing the power for a scary Charlotte group.

💣💣 Ethan Farris, 1B Texas State (Mid Majors)

5-for-5, 2 HR, 3B, 2 2B, 3 R, 5 RBI

The 2023 draftee has had a tough go of it with injuries the past two seasons but his return a couple weeks ago has been phenomenal. He’s reached base in every game of his return and gotten a hit in the past six. Friday was his best performance by far, going a perfect five for five with extra base hits all around. In just the seven games played, he’s hit five home runs with nine total extra base hits. Texas State has been playing great without Farris’s contributions and now they’re looking to be even better with that type of impactful addition added midseason.

‼️ Evan Dempsey, LHP Florida Gulf Coast (Mid Majors)

2-for-4, 2B, R, RBI, K | 6.0 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, BB, 10 K, HRA

I can’t leave out Evan Dempsey. I just can’t. Dempsey added another double on the hitting side, placing him in a tie for second on the D1 leaderboard. On the mound, he started off hot with 4.2 shutout innings before a grand slam with two outs in the fifth left a stain in the box score. Despite that, he would come back out for the sixth where he would work through a quick inning with another two strikeouts giving him ten for the day. Dempsey continues to be elite at the game of baseball and it’s painful to imagine being forced to choose one at the professional level. For now, I’ll just continue to relish in all that he’s doing.

‼️ Ethan Norby, LHP East Carolina (Mid Majors)

7.0 IP, H, 3 BB, 12 K

I hope Norby is back. He’s now put together a streak of two great starts including this masterpiece against a fantastic UTSA team. His slider worked to perfection and aided him in his immaculate inning against the heart of UTSA’s lineup, Silva, Arquette, and Haworth. There were still some slight problems with control but that can totally be ignored when you give up just one hit and strike out twelve. Great start to what should be an amazing series between the two.

‼️ Eli Pillsbury, LHP Jacksonville State (Mid Majors)

6.0 IP, 3 H, BB, 12 K

Jax State remains undefeated in the tough Conference USA, extending to 7-0. Eli Pillsbury dominated against Western Kentucky, holding them blank through six while striking out twelve. Pillsbury has been one of the most underrated pitchers, silently pitching to a 0.91 ERA across 39.2 innings. His twelve strikeouts marked a career high and he’s still yet to allow more than one earned run in a game this season.

‼️ Ryan Peterson, RHP Sam Houston State (Mid Majors)

9.0 IP, H, 4 BB, 6 K

Peterson tossed the first CGSO for Sam Houston since 2017. He’s been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, pitching to a 1.43 ERA with 57 strikeouts opposed to 12 walks in 44 innings pitched. Although today was his worst command showing (four walks, two hit batters, one wild pitch), he did an amazing job at limiting any sorts of hard contact and keeping the ball on the ground. He induced five double plays and registered thirteen ground outs for the day.

Luke Pettitte, DH Dallas Baptist (Mid Majors)

2-for-5, HR, 2 R, RBI, K

Luke Pettitte continues his rampage as a DH. His OPS is hovering around the 1.300 mark over 36 plate appearances and he blasted his fourth home run of the season. The majority of the hype surrounding Pettitte was about his pitching and while it’ll almost certainly still be about his arm, there’s gotta be a tiny idea in some important decision maker’s mind of making him a two-way player at the next level. It’s been unreal how good his hitting numbers have been after having just one at bat in the previous two years.

Anthony Potestio, SS UC San Diego (Mid Majors)

4-for-5, HR, 3 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI, K

‼️ Steele Murdock, RHP UC San Diego (Mid Majors)

5.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 12 K, HRA

Both draft hopefuls for UCSD had great Fridays. Anthony Potestio had a four hit night, all being for extra bases, and continues his scorching March as the month nears its end. Steele Murdock struck out twelve batters in five innings of work, including striking out ten of his final eleven outs. Murdock was a popular breakout pick entering the season but it’s safe to say his season has been anything but. His last two starts, however, have been much better and more along the lines of preseason expectations. Even with the struggles, the strikeouts have stayed high with 46 across 30.1 innings.

‼️ Dax Whitney, RHP Oregon State (Mid Majors)

6.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, BB, 13 K, 2 HRA

It wasn’t a typical Whitney start but it was still great nonetheless. Whitney served as an excellent test for the Mercer lineup and I’d say they passed with a C+. They were able to get some hard hits in against the top pitcher in the game but also did so striking out thirteen times and doing little damage aside from the long ball. While it was the first start of the season allowing more than one run for Whitney, he still held his average of three hits allowed and extended his strikeout lead to 78 on the year.

Southeastern

Covered by: Brandon Payne

Liam Peterson, RHP Florida (Southeastern)

4 IP, H, 6 BB, 7 K

Sure, at first you see the 1 hit and no runs allowed but then you look further down the line and see 6 walks to 7 strikeouts and you wonder what happened. Yes we can all agree that Peterson has the stuff to pitch in the majors but it won't come easy if he doesn't figure out his control issues. Peterson has 55K to 22BB, not great for who some call the best pitcher in the SEC.

Bryce Fowler, CF Alabama (Southeastern)

3-for-5, HR, 3 R, RBI, K

Well it wasn't a no hitter and complete game this time around for Fay, but still a nice outing regardless. Fay now has 52K over 42.2IP. Bryce Fowler was on point Friday night. 3 hits including his 3rd homerun of the season. He is now batting .357 over 98 at-bats. An impressive win for the Tide to start their weekend against the Auburn Tigers. Sorry Josh :(

Tyler Fay, RHP Alabama (Southeastern)

5 IP, H, ER, 3 BB, 5 K

Casan Evans, RHP Louisiana State (Southeastern)

6 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 6 BB, 3 K

Well it wasn't like last week for Evans. Let's just write this one off and not forget that he is just a sophomore. There is a lot to like about Casan Evans and I won't let this one start have an effect on my thought process.

‼️ Jaxon Jelkin, RHP Kentucky (Southeastern)

8 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, BB, 7 K

Remember earlier who I questioned as the next best college arm after Flora, well Jaxon Jelkin could certainly fill that mold. He goes 8 strong innings with 7 punch outs, scattering 5 hits with 2 ER and a single free pass. That's now back to back impressive starts for the Wildcats ace.

🍔🍟 Caden Sorrell, CF Texas A&M (Southeastern)

1-for-3, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 BB, 2 K, SB

Caden Sorrell continues to show why he should go day 1 in the 2026 draft. He leads the Aggies offense in hits (34), homeruns (12) and RBI (39). He is also slashing .386, also leading the team in average, .466/.864 and has an OPS of 1.330 which of course also leads the team.

‼️ Connor Fennell, RHP Vanderbilt (Southeastern)

7.1 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 9 K

Connor Fennell was outstanding on Friday night in a rival matchup against the Vols. 9K across 7.1IP with just 3 hits allowed with only 1 of them going for extra bases. The Vandy Boys have been a roller coaster ride this year and you're never sure what team will show up. Just imagine this pitching with their power potential as an offense and it sounds like a bad dream.

Temo Becerra, 3B Texas (Southeastern)

3-for-4, 3 R, 2 RBI

Borba led the way with 6RBI, but Aiden Robbins and Temo Beccera also contributed to what ended up in a blowout victory for Texas over OU on Thursday night.

Aiden Robbins, CF Texas (Southeastern)

3-for-4, 3B, 3 R, BB

Casey Borba, 1B Texas (Southeastern)

3-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 R, 6 RBI

‼️ Ruger Riojas, RHP Texas (Southeastern)

7 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 8 K

Is Riojas the second best college pitcher behind Flora? Could be. While Cam Johnson of OU, Liam Peterson of Florida, and other struggle to separate themselves, Ruger Riojas could possibly be that guy. A solid outing from the Longhorns Friday night starter on Thursday as Texas beat OU in 7 innings. Riojas goes to 5-0 on the year with 64K in 39.2IP.
