heute habe ich gelernt dass franzosen (zumindest pariser) nicht einmal pomme de terre sagen. so niemand sagt das tatsächlich sie sagen einfach patate. ich wurde angelogen.

yup, pomme de terre is more formal, unless you’re reading a recipe or a food label, you’ll most probably read patate
