Deewaana Deewaana

I don’t think I’ll ever end up watching Tere Ishk Mein, and the rest of the soundtrack album didn’t quite click with me. But this song? That is an absolute masterpiece. Very spiritual, intensely worded by Irshad Kamil, and A.R. Rahman’s raw vocals with brilliant classical instrumentation, especially the tabla by Rahul Prakash. I miss this sound in the Indian film industry. A.R. Rahman has given us some of the greatest Sufi songs in this industry in the recent decade, and this song, for me, is a necessary reminder of what I need more.
