Traffic Alert: Lane Closures and Road Work Across Grand Junction Week of Feb 23

Drivers across Grand Junction should plan for multiple construction impacts in the coming days, including full closures, lane reductions, and flagger-controlled traffic.

Here’s what to expect:

🚧 Four Canyons Parkway Project

25 Road Closure 25 Rd. is closed between F ½ Rd. and Waite Ave.

A temporary roadway is in place. Motorists should proceed with caution and watch for changing traffic patterns in the area.

🚧 D ½ Road Capacity Improvements

Full Closure (Local Access Only) D ½ Rd. is closed from 29 Rd. to 30 Rd.

Access is limited to local traffic only. Through traffic should use alternate routes.

🚧 South Broadway Bridge Project

Single Lane Closure – Thursday, Feb. 26 South Broadway at Wildwood Dr. will be reduced to one lane.

Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic. Expect short delays and allow extra travel time.

🚧 Non-City Project: CDOT I-70B Phase 7 Construction

The Colorado Department of Transportation continues Phase 7 improvements along I-70B, with several impacts in place:

• Single lane and shoulder closures on Ute Ave. and Pitkin Ave. between 3rd and 6th Streets
• Ongoing closures on portions of Ute Ave.
• 4th Street reduced to a single lane between Colorado Ave. and Pitkin Ave.

All business and residential access will remain open throughout construction.
