Help provide life-saving bleed kits

Dear readers,

On 4 January, De Montfort Univeristy (DMU) student, Khaleed Oladipo died in hospital after sustaining stab wounds. A tribute from Oladipo's family described him as “a good boy who loved his family”. As DMU alumni, this is a matter that is close to our hearts, and our sympathies are with Oladipo's family and friends.

Following this tragedy, we've launched a fundraiser to provide life-saving bleed kits across the city. Currently, there is only one emergency bleed control kit in Leicester city centre – let's change that.

We're raising £2,750 to fund at least 10 public access emergency bleed control kits across the city centre and university campuses. Within 12 hours of the major incident being declared, we had launched the initiative, which later was picked up by ITV news at six.

Now, we need your help. If you can, please show your support by making a donation, or by sharing on social media and with friends and family. Together, we can create within our community.
