Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is offering free flights on selected sailings aboard the 43,537-GT Balmoral for new Freedom Fare bookings made by May 31, 2026. The promotion applies to the first and final legs of the ship’s 2026 Grand Voyage, a six-itinerary Mediterranean and Atlantic Islands program scheduled to depart Southampton on Sept. 30.

The offer gives agents a limited booking window for fly-cruise sectors linked to London Gatwick or Manchester Airport, with fares starting below £1,000 per person on the opening segment.

Geoff Ridgeon, head of sales at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said the promotion gives trade partners “a strong opportunity” to sell added value to guests. He said the line’s fly-cruise holidays combine air access to Europe with the “warmth and intimacy” of Fred. Olsen’s smaller ships.

Free-flight offer covers opening and closing Grand Voyage sectors

The first eligible sailing is “Charming Spanish Cities and Autumn Warmth,” an eight-night cruise departing Southampton on Sept. 30, 2026, with prices from £929 per person. The itinerary is scheduled to call at Vigo, Cadiz for Seville, Malaga, Melilla and Alicante.

The final eligible sector is “Canaries Escape with the Fleet Fiesta,” a 10-night sailing departing Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Nov. 30, 2026, with fares from £1,099 per person. The route includes Las Palmas, Arrecife, an overnight in Funchal, Lisbon and Matosinhos for Porto before reaching Southampton.

Balmoral has capacity for about 1,250 guests at standard occupancy. The ship is part of Fred. Olsen’s three-vessel fleet alongside Bolette and Borealis.

New Greece-to-Tenerife itinerary added to fly-cruise program

Fred. Olsen also added “Country Hopping from Greece to Tenerife” to its fly-cruise program. The 11-night sailing departs Piraeus for Athens on Nov. 19, 2026, and is priced from £1,599 per person, including London or Manchester flights and transfers.

The itinerary includes calls at Valletta, Trapani, Cartagena, Gibraltar and Agadir before ending in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Fred. Olsen said the voyage includes time in Athens, a sailing into Valletta’s Grand Harbour and transit through the Strait of Gibraltar.
