Marella Promotes Garden Visits for 2026 Mediterranean Cruises
Marella Cruises is promoting five European garden visits tied to its May 2026 Mediterranean cruise program, linking sites in Majorca, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Rome and the Monaco area to seven-night sailings. The TUI Group-operated British cruise line listed lead-in fares between 1,166 and 1,527 per person, based on two adults sharing an inside cabin on an all-inclusive basis.
The garden-focused promotion spans four of Marella's five ocean ships, with departures from Palma, Corfu Town, Dubrovnik and Malaga.
Western Mediterranean calls anchor the lowest listed fare
The lowest fare in the promotion is attached to Marella Explorer's seven-night Treasures of the Mediterranean sailing from Palma on May 16, 2026, which includes Civitavecchia for Rome. That itinerary is linked to Villa Borghese Gardens, where visitors can access lawns, Borghese Lake and museums including Galleria Borghese, home to works by Bernini and Titian.
Marella Explorer is also scheduled for a May 30 Treasures of the Mediterranean roundtrip from Palma, with fares listed from 1,479 per person. The featured garden for that sailing is Marivent Gardens outside Palma, described by Marella as combining Mediterranean planting, shaded paths, hedges, spring flowers and sculptures by contemporary local artists.
Marella Discovery 2 carries the Monaco-area selection through a seven-night Highlights of the Mediterranean cruise departing Malaga on May 19, 2026, and calling at Sanremo for Monaco. The featured site, Jardin Exotique, reopened last month after a six-year renovation and includes cliffside views, rare succulents and cacti, and access to a prehistoric cave beneath the garden. Fares for that sailing were listed from 1,294 per person.
Eastern Mediterranean and Adriatic options use Corfu and Dubrovnik departures
On the eastern side of the program, Marella Voyager's seven-night Iconic Islands itinerary departs roundtrip from Corfu Town on May 27, 2026, with fares from 1,527 per person. The associated site is Achilleion Palace Gardens, a hillside estate built for Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sisi, with statues of Achilles and other mythological figures set among cypress trees, palms and courtyards overlooking the Ionian Sea.
The Dubrovnik-linked option is Trsteno Arboretum, included with Marella Explorer 2's seven-night Sail Three Seas cruise from Dubrovnik on May 28, 2026. Marella described the arboretum as dating to the 15th century, with ancient trees, exotic plants, stone paths, an aqueduct and Adriatic views. The site was also used as a filming location for Game of Thrones. Fares for that itinerary start at 1,500 per person. Marella did not specify whether the garden visits are packaged as organized excursions or left for guests to arrange independently during the relevant port calls.
