Meeting the Candidate

I had a wonderful time with a great cup of coffee, getting to speak with our community members and hearing more about their concerns for our local issues.

Great discussion was had as we explored local issues:

• Valuable educational programs in Williston, such as Williston Basin Career & Technical Education Center
• Inability to recruit and retain teachers due to rising cost of living
• Oil and gas extraction industry in Williston being one of the largest contributors for North Dakota's GDP and yet, our schools receive equal, not equitable , funding per student while having a higher transient population
• Barriers to quality healthcare options as our community members have to seek adequate care elsewhere, sometimes even out of state
• Medicare and Medicaid having limited access for our most needed community members

We will continue to be at the Daily Addiction Coffee House Saturdays, 9:00 am, through May 1st. Stop on in, share your voice, and have a great cup of coffee with me!
