Lucasfilm Sparks Anime Expo, 2026 With KYA And Trailer For “Star Wars: Visions - The Ninth Jedi” Slated For August 5 On Disney+.

Witness the Jedi in a new light. ✨ Lucasfilm Animation and Disney+ revealed the key art and trailer of “Star Wars: Visions - The Ninth Jedi” which is slated for a Wednesday, August 5 release on Disney+.

The key art, trailer and date was unveiled after a packed screening of the series first episode at Anime Expo, 2026 where it got followed by a Q&A session by Supervising Director Kenji Kamiyama , Director Shunsuke Tada & Producer Hitoshi Ito.

Inspired by the “Star Wars Visions ” duology of the same name, the mini-series follows Kara resuming her quest to find her missing father and evade Jedi Hunters as the Jedi and the Sith have disappeared, but she will discover that the Force remains an ally to those who wish to stand up for what is right.

The panel announced that Kimiko Glenn (Disney Television Animation “Kiff” franchise) will reprise her role as Kara in the English Dub of the mini-series.“Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi” is produced by Production I.G in association with Lucasfilm Animation.
