Disney Kids & Family Gives Pawsome Series Order For “Warrior Cats” Animated Series Adaptation With El Guiri Studios And Coolabi Media.

Feline heroes are the next in the Disney Television Animation family..🐱⚔️

Disney Kids & Family has picked up the animated adaptation of Coolabi’s global phenomenonWarrior Cats. The animated series will drop in 2028 on both Disney Channel andDisney+ alongside other hits like “Phineas And Ferb”, “Big City Greens”, “Chibiverse”, “Kiff”,ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series” and “Dragon Striker”.

The series which will adapt the first series: “Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin ” and will have A.C. Bradley (Marvel Studios “Ms. Marvel,” Marvel Animation “What If?”) as showrunner, with Rodrigo Blaas (Dreamworks Animation Television “Tales From Arcadia” franchise) on board to direct and the series co-showrunner.

Blass indie animation studio El Guiri Studios will provide the animation services for the series which previously did the “Star Wars Visions” short “The Sith ”.

Warrior Cats is produced by Coolabi andEl Guiri Studios in association with Disney Television Animation for Disney Channel and Disney+.

Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin ” follows a pet cat named Rusty who dreams about the forest that lies beyond the neighbourhood he lives in. One day, he ventures into the forest and is invited to join ThunderClan, one of four groups of wild cats in the forest. He accepts the invitation and receives the apprentice name Firepaw. Later, Firepaw receives his warrior name, Fireheart, and discovers that Tigerclaw, the deputy of ThunderClan, wishes to kill ThunderClan’s leader Bluestar in order to succeed her and become leader himself.

The Warrior Cats books, which are written by a team under the pseudonym Erin Hunter, have sold more than 90 million copies and been translated into 38 languages. According to Disney Kids & Family "Warrior Cats" generates 50 million views per month across user-generated content on YouTube and nearly 3 billion views on TikTok. The Roblox game, meanwhile, has been played more than 735 million times.

"Warrior Cats” marks the final animated announcement by Disney Kids & Family as part of a week of multiple animated announcements**** ahead of the Annecy Festival running from June 22 to June 26. The division previously announced serialized musical comedy series “Journey ” created byMatt Munn and EP by Michelle Obama and Barack Obama’s production company “Higher Ground” , “Mickey’s Home Alone” by Shane Prigmore and Tom Rogers and “A Proud Family Wizmas” by David H. Brooks, Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farqhuar , all three projects are produced by Disney Television Animation alongside “Warrior Cats ”.

Besides “Warrior Cats “, Disney Television Animation currently has five upcoming projects for Disney Channel andDisney+ currently under NDA which likely be revealed during theAnnecy Festival.

The studio’s currently is producing a NDA action-adventure series in collaboration withJeff Swampy Marsh ’s animation studio Surfing Giant Studios. Projects in development at the studio include a new show byIan Jones-Quartey (Cartoon Network Studios “OK K.O! Let’s Be Heroes) and ”Poiuc And Pica “ by Elsa Duhamel. Additionaly SAG-AFTRA website recently listed two potential new projects "Fuzz” and “Suburbion”. All five projects are also for Disney Channel andDisney+.
