RUMOR: Disney Television Animation Developing “Doc McStuffins” Sequel Series For Disney Jr. Via SAG-AFTRA Listing

The doc is in and she might fix you up under a new home: Disney Television Animation!

SAG-AFTRA’s website has updated and listed a brand new potential Disney Television Animation project: a potential sequel series to the hit preschool series “Doc McStuffins ” under the title “Doc McStuffins II ” dating back from 2023 alongside other potential projects like “Tinker Bell and The Glitter City ”, “Toontown (Shorts)” and “Artemis Fowl” which also are dated from 2023.

It could make sense since Chris Nee’ s overall development deal with Netflix Animation Studios expired in 2023-2024. ICYMI: Since 2022, Netflix cancelled multiple shows and films which included some projects by Nee (Unrelated to Nee but an adult animated project by “Gravity Falls ” creator Alex Hirsch was part of these cuts with his project being in development hell.)

However we should take this with a BIG grain of salt as the site also listed scrapped series from the studio like “Neon Galaxy ” byLee Knox Ostertag , “Weird Waters ” by Bob Bowen and Jacob Hair as well the recently scrapped “Kim Possible ” sequel series/reboot.

If real then “Doc McStuffins ” could go in a similar route like “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder ” where the sequel series is produced by Disney Television Animation while the original series wasn’t part of the studio.
