I have a "Stop Rail" placed right at the buffer stop, but the departing train isn't receiving a green signal.

How is your track (and interlocking) set up?

Is there a way to implement a sort of "request green" function for departures that would grant a green signal once the train reverses direction?

The station track does that by default.

If i drive into the station, the station rail (the front of the train) is at the buffer. And if i reverse the train it dont get a request...

but me was boring... so i coded again a mod... and it is: An Announcement Track. it works right now. i drive over the track and its do my sound (i did a folder with chimes and announcement texts and in the track ui that will open like at "advtrains horntrack" i can give in "default" at chime and at announcement "test" so its doing ding dong and then the text i generated with nearakeet (a text to speech website)). now i can do a real railway system (automaticly trains, horntrack, announcements, time table, ... nice things)
