One of the most recognizable homes in Forest Grove is for sale, and three weekend open houses offers locals a rare opportunity to step inside the Via Home, a home and property that features Forest Grove's giant sequoia tree on the corner of B Street and Pacific Avenue. The main home, one of three distinct living spaces on the .66 acre property, is a 1928 Norman Farmhouse-style home. It's been the subject of many news stories and blog posts, including a segment on the tree and its brethren across Forest Grove and Verboort on Grant's Getaways. It's not even the oldest tree on the property, though, with oak trees as old as two centuries on the sprawling lot. In addition to the main home, an apartment sits atop a three-car garage. The same garage has a heated area with a restroom and separate entrance that could be converted into a rented studio or garage space.
