Candidates forum in Hillsboro set for April 24

The League of Women Voters of Oregon and the Washington County Community Participation Organization (CPO) Program will host a candidate forum Friday, April 24, at the Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building, 155 N. 1st Ave., in Hillsboro.
The forum is the featured presentation at the All-CPO Meeting, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Service provider updates from Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Tualatin Valley Water District begin at 6 p.m., followed by the candidate forum at 7 p.m.
The League of Women Voters has invited candidates running for Washington County Commission Chair and Washington County Commission, District 4, to participate. Invited chair candidates are Nafisa Fai, Jenny Kamprath and Pam Treece. Invited District 4 candidates are Steve Callaway, Kimberly Culbertson, Ayla Hofler, Anthony Martin, Kipperlyn Sinclair and Paul Schaefer.
Community members can submit questions for the candidates by April 17 to oao@washingtoncountyor.gov.
“This event is designed to bring voters and candidates together in one place,” said Kathleen Hersh, Washington County Unit chair of the Oregon League of Women Voters.
