Sen. Wyden to hold town hall in Hillsboro March 14
U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will hold a Washington County town hall on Saturday, March 14, at Century High School in Hillsboro.
The event marks Wyden’s 1,151st town hall statewide and his 12th in 2026. Wyden has maintained a tradition of holding at least one town hall annually in each of Oregon’s 36 counties for decades.
“I’ve kept this town hall promise because it’s always been essential that the faces and voices of democracy have public spaces to show up, speak out and share their ideas,” Wyden said in a statement.
The town hall begins at 1 p.m. Doors open one hour before.
A clear bag policy will be in effect. Attendees may bring clear bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, one-gallon clear plastic bags, or small clutches no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Backpacks and large non-clear bags are not permitted, with exceptions for medical and infant necessities.
Wyden’s last Washington County town hall, held in the gym at Poynter Middle School in Hillsboro on Feb. 15, 2025, was overflowing. The crowd spilled into the hallway, and soon, a line stretching out the door was given the bad news: the gym was at capacity, and there were concerns about violating fire codes.
Wyden’s town hall comes less than a week after U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici holds her own town hall in Hillsboro on March 9 at the Hillsboro Civic Center. That event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
If attending:
- When: Saturday, March 14, 1 p.m. (doors open at noon)
- Where: Century High School gym, 2000 SE Century Blvd., Hillsboro
