An Open Letter to the American Artificial Intelligence Industry

And I’m gonna follow up with something… Since when is too hard or cost for time and trouble justification for not solving what your own industry identifies as an existential threat to our entire species?? Either it’s an existential threat possibility, in which case there are 8 billion people counting on you guys to figure something out Or it’s not an existential threat in which case stop telling us this, it worries, people and worries people that have background in stuff like disaster planning scenario training all kinds of shit… what I do know actually, myself, is there currently there is no large language model in existence that would be safe to go into a first responder environment and that’s not even as an auxiliary aid just a situational awareness system. They hallucinating way too damn much., and there’s no stability… I apologize if that comes off mean but, I’ve never been allowed in my professional career to look at a problem and say “nawww, I ain’t feeling that today and I just don’t got the money for it”, because when I say that my profession? Someone pays with their life… that’s not a joke that’s not an over exaggeration that’s a fact of reality.
