Using custom models on POP Os

Hello, I was trying to get some custom models on Pop Os. Even when hidden files are shown, I can't seem to find the models folder or models.dat. Ignoring this, I dropped the models folder and models.dat I was trying to replace the default models with, but when I tried using the models, they only worked half of the time.
