Weather alert in place for 23 Michigan counties until Thursday morning

At 3:20 a.m. EDT on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement until 10 a.m. EDT for Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties.
