High wind watch affecting 17 Michigan counties Friday – gusts to hit 55 mph

The National Weather Service released a high wind watch at 2:27 a.m. EDT on Thursday valid for Friday between 5 a.m. EDT and 8 p.m. EDT for Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
