Armed police swarm Manchester park after man seen wearing 'suicide vest'... but the reality is not what it seems
Armed police in Manchester swarmed to a park after a man was seen wearing a "suicide vest".
However, it turned out the man - who must of been a bit shocked by the situation - was merely wearing a weighted vest whilst exercising in the park.
GB News has spoken to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) who have confirmed the man posed no threat and officers have stood down.
It is believed the incident happened in Mandley Park in Salford, north Manchester.

A GMP spokesman told the Manchester Evening News: "We received a report of a suspicious male on Bristol Street, Salford, at around 11:52am today.
"Officers attended and quickly established that the individual was wearing a weighted gym vest and carrying a skipping rope while exercising at an outdoor gym.
"This was a false alarm and there is no threat to the wider community."
Footage seen by the People's Channel shows several police snipers covering behind trees, whilst the man lies on the ground in an exercise park.
The man, with his hands on his head, is seen to be wearing a black padded vest, over a grey t-shirt and shorts.
Eyewitnesses described an enormous police presence in the Higher Broughton area, as well as a helicopter flying overhead.
There is a large Jewish community in the area surrounding Mandley Park.
The Community Security Trust (CST), a charity that protects British Jews from terrorism and antiterrorism, took to social media to address the incident.

"He just laid there, rolled onto his back and police took him away. It was chaos."
