A HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes housing, a core, a pair of collector plates and a pair of tanks. The housing receives first heat exchange fluid. The core includes tubes and fins, wherein the tubes are received inside housing with the fins lodged between adjacent tubes. The pair of collector plates is disposed at end portions of the tubes. The collector plates are configured with slots that receive the respective end portions of tubes. The pair of tanks is connected to respective collector plates. The end portions of each tube include tabs configured thereon. The tabs configured on at least one pair of opposite sides of section at respective end portions of tube fuse to form a part of welding joint between end portions of tube and corresponding slots.
