A fuel cell 1 has an anode 20, a cathode active portion 60 that exhibits oxygen ion conductivity and electron conductivity, a cathode current collecting portion 70 that is disposed on the cathode active portion 60 and that exhibits a higher electron conductivity than the cathode active portion 60, and a contaminant trap portion 80 that is disposed on the cathode current collecting portion 70 and exhibits oxygen ion conductivity and electron conductivity.
