A battery management device disclosed herein includes a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of a battery cell, a communication unit configured to receive a charging signal of the battery cell and a control unit configured to apply a current to a heating channel connecting electrodes of the same polarity based on the charging signal being a fast charging signal and stop applying the current based on a temperature of the battery cell received from the temperature sensor reaching a reference temperature.
