A battery management device disclosed herein includes a communication unit configured to receive temperature data of a 3-lead battery cell and a charging signal of the battery cell and a control unit configured to apply a current to a heating channel connecting electrodes of the same polarity based on the charging signal being a fast charging signal and stop applying the current based on a temperature of the 3-lead battery cell received from a temperature sensor reaching a reference temperature.
