A battery temperature estimation device according to an embodiment disclosed in this document may include an impedance measurement unit configured to measure frequency-specific impedance of a battery; a memory configured to store a temperature-frequency table according to an imaginary part of impedance; and a controller configured to estimate a temperature of the battery through the temperature-frequency table based on an imaginary part of the frequency-specific impedance.
