The invention relates to a gas valve (10) for supplying a gaseous fuel to the intake tract of an internal combustion engine, having a solenoid actuator (29) which comprises a solenoid coil (30) and an armature (25) cooperating with the solenoid coil (30), having a valve element (12) in which an annular passage area (42), preferably arranged concentrically to a longitudinal axis (18), for the gaseous fuel is formed between a gas supply (45) and a gas outlet (46), wherein the passage area (42) is bounded by a radially inner and a radially outer sealing region (38, 39) on the side facing the armature (25), wherein the two sealing regions (38, 39) cooperate with a closing element which is connected at least indirectly to the armature (25), and wherein two flow paths (51, 52) are formed, a first flow path (51) which connects the gas supply (45) to the radially inner sealing region (38), and a second flow path (52) which connects the gas supply (45) to the radially outer sealing region (39).
