The invention relates to a profile strip assembly (10) comprising a profile strip (12) made of a profile material (14) with a first connection area (16) for connection to an edge region (42) of a windshield (18) of a motor vehicle and with a second connection area (20) for connection to a component adjacent to the windshield (18), wherein the first connection area (16) has a lower connection section (50) which cooperates with an inner side (48) of the edge region (42) of the windshield (18) and which has at least one surface section (58) free of the profile material (14), wherein the free surface section (58) is formed by the surface (60) of an additional element (62) which consists of a different material than the profile strip (12).
