The invention relates to a profile strip (16) comprising a first connection region for connecting to an edge region of a windshield (12) of a motor vehicle and a second connection region for connecting to a component adjacent to the windshield, wherein the second connection region has an open profile along at least a first partial section (44a, 44b) of the length of the profile strip (16), which enables the insertion of a connecting element of the adjacent component into a receiving area bounded by the open profile, and wherein the second connection region has a closed profile along at least a second partial section (46a, 46b, 46c) of the length of the profile strip (16), which prevents the insertion of the connecting element into the closed profile. The invention further relates to a system (14) comprising a profile strip (16) and an adjacent component (18) as well as a method for manufacturing a profile strip (16).
