Device (10) for tire inflation pressure monitoring of a vehicle system, comprising at least one vehicle tire (20a, 20b, 22a, 22b) which communicates with a tire filling system (28) for adjusting a tire internal pressure, and a control unit (46) which calculates a target value to be maintained for the tire internal pressure in accordance with at least one external control variable. According to the invention, the control unit (46) adjusts the calculated target value as a function of an operating state classification derived from operating state variables of the vehicle system, wherein the control unit (46) determines a geoposition of the vehicle system correlating with the derived operating state classification and stores this together with the operating state classification in a storage unit (60) in order to retrieve the associated operating state classification from the storage unit (60) upon detection of a renewed approach of the vehicle system to the stored geoposition, for the purpose of predictively adjusting the target value of the tire internal pressure.
