The invention relates to a lighting system for a motor vehicle interior comprising semiconductor electroluminescent light sources (2) and a substrate (4) for growing said light sources, said light sources defining a plurality of light-emitting zones (Sa, Slg, Sld), said system being configured to activate the light source(s) (2) of the same zone independently from one zone to another, said plurality of zones (Sa, Slg, Sld) being configured to emit beams intended to produce different lighting from one zone to another.
