A locking mechanism for a gauge-changing wheelset, comprising an outer sleeve (1) and locking pins (2); opposite sides outside the outer sleeve (1) are provided with bosses (11) axially extending along the outer sleeve (1), and a plurality of flutes (12) are disposed at intervals along the length directions of the bosses (11); the locking pins (2) are inserted into the flutes (12), and can be switched among the plurality of flutes (12) under the action of an external force to change a gauge.
