A lighting device for a motor vehicle is presented, comprising a light guide (1) which has a light entry surface, and at least one first semiconductor light source (2) which generates light for a first lighting function of the lighting device and which has a first light exit surface that is opposite a first region of the light entry surface at a first distance, and at least one second semiconductor light source which generates light for a second lighting function of the lighting device and which has a second light exit surface that is opposite a second region of the light entry surface at a second distance. The lighting device is distinguished by the fact that the first distance differs from the second distance.
