PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM

This parking brake system electrically controls the parking brakes of a vehicle. The parking brake system is provided with: a parking brake provided to each vehicle wheel; an air dryer ECU (11) that electrically controls the parking brakes; and a drive unit (12) that is provided to each axle of the vehicle wheels and that operates the parking brake by means of compressed air depending on an electrical signal from the air dryer ECU (11).
