METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for controlling a headlight arrangement for a vehicle (10), wherein the headlight arrangement comprises a right headlight (1) and a left headlight (2), wherein the right headlight (1) emits a right light beam (30b) and the left headlight (1) emits a left light beam (30a). In the method, an initial light distribution (29, 30) is generated by means of the left (30a) and right light beam (30b). An assistance system (18, 25) of the vehicle (10) generates a signal which transmits a navigation indication for a future driving maneuver to the headlight arrangement (1, 2). Depending on the signal, an overall light distribution (32, 33) is generated in which side areas (S1, S2) are formed with the right light beam (30b) and the left light beam (30a), between which an area (39) is formed which has a lower light intensity than the side areas (S1, S2), and whose shape represents the navigation indication to the driver within the overall light distribution (32, 33).
